Springtime in Walnut Creek has arrived! I know what you're thinking, how could that be in the middle of February? Here's how it happened - I was jogging on the Contra Costa Canal trail just the other day and saw the first blossoms of the season. I had to come back and take a photo or two for proof!
Springtime in Walnut Creek, California is fabulous! Our weather is great. Sure there are a couple months a year that are cold and we even have a couple of months in the summer that are hot. But every year in the middle of winter, we get a taste of early summer. The sun comes out from behind the clouds and shines on us to let us know that spring is just around the corner.
The first signs of spring always make me smile. It signals a new beginning and new opportunities. Will this new season bring new opportunities for our economy to recover. Will we see more people coming back to the work force, and more consumer confidence. Will we see more first time buyers, more families wanting to move up to better school districts, nicer neighborhoods?
What an exciting time to be in real estate. I will be helping people with opportunities to buy and sell homes this year. We have the federal tax credit that is available through April 30, 2010, up to $8000 for new home owners and $6500 for buyers who are moving up or repeat home buyers. Check this out for the official information on how the tax credits guidelines work.
Springtime in Walnut Creek brings out the best in people. I am seeing more smiles everywhere I go. Maybe it's the extra vitamin D we are all experiencing from the sunshine.
Did I mention the sneezing?
